Eve L. Henson
Eve Henson has been a trial lawyer since 1994, and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Texas and Florida. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters ranging from highly complex, multi-district litigation to straight forward contract cases. Her extensive commercial background includes patent infringement, aviation disasters, banking failures, environmental hazards, complex tax insurance programs, and related issues. She has also represented clients in employment, product liability, personal injury and wrongful death actions. Her clients are individuals and families as well as Fortune 500 corporations, like Black & Decker, Deere & Company, and Johnson & Johnson.

Eve’s dogged perseverance and thorough examination of the facts in each case give her clients a distinct advantage at trial or in mediation. Her successful record earned her “Rising Star” recognition in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008 as well as recognition as a Texas’ Super Lawyer in intellectual property litigation in 2008. These recognitions are based upon a survey of Texas lawyers performed by Texas Monthly Magazine.

Her extensive legal experience includes:

  • Obtained an award of damages at trial to compensate client for loss that insurance company refused to honor.
  • Successfully defended Deere & Company to verdict in varying cases, including a commercial dispute, a product liability action, and a deceptive trade practice suit.
  • Successfully defended Household Automotive Finance Corporation in an employment discrimination suit.
  • Negotiated nuisance value settlement on behalf of a Fortune 500 company in an anti-trust & patent infringement suit that sought hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Eliminated potential multi-state class action by uncovering underlying fraudulent activity of class representative.
  • Secured a seven figure settlement for an injured airline worker.
  • Procured several other significant settlements for individuals and families injured by negligence or product defects.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Eve received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Cornell University. She received her law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where she served as the Editor in Chief of the Texas Survey Edition of the SMU Law Review. She is married to Tim Henson and has four children.
