Kimberly C. Priest-Johnson is an accomplished trial lawyer with experience in numerous jury trials, complex arbitrations and major settlements. She began her legal career in 2000 as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, then practiced complex commercial litigation with Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Fish & Richardson. Her background also includes serving as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, where she prosecuted white collar crimes. Following her time with the government, Kimberly focused her practice primarily on white collar criminal defense at Dallas-based Meadows Owens. Kimberly’s background ranges from working with individuals and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of civil commercial cases to prosecuting and defending individuals and corporate entities accused of white collar crimes. Kimberly’s successful track record has earned her recognition as a Texas Monthly “Rising Star.”

- Guilty jury verdict as to all defendants following month-long trial in $12 million healthcare fraud, kickback, and money laundering case
- Guilty jury verdict in Nigerian-based international counterfeiting conspiracy involving United States postal money orders
- Guilty jury verdict of bank fraud and money laundering obtained after prosecution of national corporation’s business executive
- Stoneville Pedigreed Seed Company v. House of Agriculture Spirou A.E.B.E. (favorable arbitration award by American Arbitration Association in Geneva, Switzerland, for client Stoneville in $1.25 billion breach of contract case)
- The Boeing Company v. Hughes Electronics Corporation (favorable settlement for client Hughes in $650 million purchase price dispute resulting from the sale of Hughes’ satellite business to Boeing)
- El Paso Tennessee Pipeline , Inc. v. Exxon Mobil Corporation (favorable settlement in multi-million dollar case alleging defense and indemnification obligations for hundreds of asbestos liability suits arising out of oil refinery purchased by client Exxon)
- NTFN v. Lawyers Title Insurance (beneficial settlement for client NTFN in multi-million dollar mortgage fraud case)
- NTFN v. Ferrara (beneficial settlement for client NTFN in multi-million dollar breach of fiduciary duty and fraud case against former officer and director)
- Alcatel v. Cisco (favorable settlement in $500 million trade secrets theft case and multi-billion dollar antitrust case for client Alcatel)
In addition to her impressive legal credentials, Kimberly also holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and specializes in organizing and running mock jury trials. She received her law degree with honors from Southern Methodist University, where she served as Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review. Kimberly is married to M. Brett Johnson and has two sons.
