Richard A. Sayles has tried more than 100 jury trials in three decades of trial practice. Whether representing plaintiffs or defendants, individuals or corporations, he thrives on the courtroom floor. Dick draws on his broad experience in both state and federal courts to handle cases involving commercial disputes, defense of and claims against corporate directors and officers, securities law claims, product liability and patent law claims, among many others. In June 2009, Dick was part of a trial team that obtained a record $1.67 billion jury award in a case that Bloomberg described as the largest patent infringement verdict in U.S. history.
