Sawyer Neely

Sawyer Neely joined Sayles Werbner in 2006. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex commercial cases involving, among other issues, the RICO Act, securities and partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, minority shareholder oppression, the Federal Fair Housing Act, deceptive trade practices, construction and delay-related disputes, fraud, negligence and breach of contract. His experience includes taking depositions and preparing and arguing a variety of pretrial motions, including motions for summary judgment, Daubert motions, motions in limine and motions to compel discovery.

Sawyer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University in 1999, and graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. Sawyer was an associate editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif. He also represented victims of domestic violence in the District of Columbia Superior Court through Georgetown's Domestic Violence Clinic. Before joining Sayles Werbner, Sawyer practiced at Jones Day in Dallas and Washington, DC. He and his wife Suzanne have two sons, Wes and Colin.
