Shawn C. Long
Bringing over 18 years of legal experience to Sayles Werbner, Shawn C. Long has vast experience in the preparation of nationwide class action and international mass tort cases, as well as catastrophic personal injury and commercial disputes. She has been involved in all aspects of litigation from investigation to trial preparation, including cases involving business torts, aviation crashes, toxic torts, medical and legal malpractice, insurance disputes, product liability, wrongful death actions, and more
recently, white collar criminal matters.

Her litigation experience includes researching complex legal issues, drafting and responding to evidentiary and dispositive motions, and preparing document-intensive cases for trial.

Shawn received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While at SMU, she was editor for The International Lawyer and The Law and Business Review of the Americas. She also won the Best Brief in the Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition, and is the author of “Foreign Sovereign Immunity: When is a Sovereign Really a Sovereign”, 10 L. &  Bus. Rev. Am. 243.
