Stefani Carter represents clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation disputes. Prior to joining Sayles Werbner, Stefani honed her courtroom skills as an assistant district attorney in the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. Her legal background also includes extensive courtroom experience handling litigation involving real estate disputes, products liability claims, and other matters while she was with the firm of Vinson & Elkins in Dallas.
Stefani earned her law degree at Harvard Law School after earning her master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. In addition, her educational background includes two undergraduate degrees in government and journalism from The University of Texas. During her academic career, Stefani served internships or fellowships for a diverse group of public and private organizations, including the Heritage Foundation, Center for the Study of the Presidency, American Society for Newspaper Editors, Office of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and USA Today. Gov. Rick Perry recently appointed Stefani to the State Board for Educator Certification for a term of six years. The Board develops certification and continuing education requirements and standards of conduct for public school teachers. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is licensed to practice in all Texas state district courts. Stefani's academic achievements and experience in both the private and public sector have provided her with broad experience that is invaluable in the courtroom. |
