Practice Description and Representative Cases:
Stefani Carter represents clients in a wide variety of commercial and business litigation disputes. Prior to joining Sayles Werbner, Stefani honed her courtroom skills as an assistant district attorney in the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. Her legal background also includes extensive courtroom experience handling litigation involving real estate disputes, products liability claims, and other matters.

Stefani earned her law degree at Harvard Law School after earning her master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Her educational background also includes two undergraduate degrees in government and journalism from The University of Texas.

During her academic career, Stefani served internships or fellowships for a diverse group of public and private organizations, including the Heritage Foundation, Center for the Study of the Presidency, American Society for Newspaper Editors, and Office of Texas Gov. Rick Perry. In law school, she also contributed as an op-ed writer for USA Today.

Gov. Perry appointed Stefani to the State Board for Educator Certification for a term of six years to expire February 1, 2013. The Board develops certification and continuing education requirements and standards of conduct for public school teachers.

Her academic achievements and experience in both the private and public sector have provided Stefani with broad experience that is invaluable in the courtroom.
