DALLAS - Mark Werbner is quoted in a recent article published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about Sayles Werbner's work for ICC Energy in a lawsuit against Chesapeake Energy.
Mr. Werbner and firm attorney Stefani Carter represent ICC Energy in the company’s claims that Chesapeake has failed to honor its commitment to use ICC Energy to market 20 percent of the natural gas recovered from the massive airport drilling project awarded to Chesapeake in 2006. Chesapeake agreed to use minority- and women-owned businesses for 20 percent of the subcontracting work at the D/FW Airport project. However, ICC Energy and other minority-owned companies say Chesapeake is not meeting that goal. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram article describes an e-mail sent by a D/FW Airport official that indicates the involvement of one minority subcontractor was overstated by 40 percent.” "If one company’s involvement was overstated by 40 percent, that’s 40 percent that could have gone to another minority subcontractor," says Mr. Werbner is the story. “Our client and other capable companies could be missing out on millions." http://www.star-telegram.com/business/story/1199698.html Copyright 2009 Star-Telegram Operating, Ltd. |
