Sure, Don Hill and Ray Jackson May Have Violated Judge Barbara Lynn's Gag Order, But They Didn't Mean To Do It.
Dallas Observer
Attorneys for former Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill and Ray Jackson, who represented Hill during last year's City Hall corruption trial, argued in court Thursday afternoon that any violations of U.S. District Judge Barbara Lynn's gag order issued shortly before Hill's trial began were not willful, and therefore not criminal. While Hill did not take the stand, Jackson spent the significant part of the six-and-a-half hour bench trial walking Lynn through the events following a June 18 interview granted to WFAA-Channel 8's Gary Reaves.

Bell affiliate sues to block release of documents
A Bell Helicopter subsidiary is suing the Defense Department to block the release of government documents to a former executive who was fired last year.

Anatomy of a $1.67 Billion IP Verdict |
Law.com
News of Monday's record-setting $1.67 billion patent verdict against Abbott Labs had patent lawyers slack-jawed across the country.
But perhaps even more surprising to some was the lawyer on the losing side: WilmerHale's William Lee, one of the biggest names in intellectual property litigation.
Lee and local co-counsel David Beck of Beck Redden & Secrest were trying to fight allegations that client Abbott's profitable arthritis drug Humira was infringing on rival Johnson & Johnson's IP. On Monday, they faced off in a federal courtroom in Texas in closing arguments with J&J's lawyers: Dianne Elderkin of Woodcock Washburn and local counsel Richard Sayles of Sayles Werbner.
