Sayles Werbner Name Partners Among 2007 Best Lawyers in America

DALLAS – Richard Sayles and Mark Werbner, founders of the Dallas-based law firm Sayles Werbner, have both earned spots on the prestigious 2007 listing of The Best Lawyers in America.

This marks the sixth straight year for Mr. Werbner to make the list, while Mr. Sayles has been honored each of the past two years.

Published annually since 1983, The Best Lawyers in America is widely regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession. The Best Lawyers lists, representing 80 specialties in all 50 states and Washington, DC, are compiled through an exhaustive peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The current, 13th edition of Best Lawyers, is based on more than two million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.

“It’s really a humbling thing,” says Mr. Sayles. “Especially, when you consider how many superb attorneys there are across this nation. But, I’ve always felt, the most rewarding thing for any lawyer is when a client says, ‘Thanks for standing by me when I needed it most.’”

For the pair of attorneys who work together closely, this national honor is just the latest in a long string of professional awards and moments of special recognition in the legal community. Both have been previously recognized by D Magazine as among Best Lawyers in Dallas, and each has earned many state and national honors in publications as diverse as Texas Lawyer, Texas Monthly and Lawdragon.

“I have to admit, sharing space with this country’s most-respected attorneys makes both Dick and me proud,” says Mr. Werbner. “I think it reminds us of what a fine profession we’re part of, and just strengthens our resolve to do our level best to help our clients.”

Sayles Werbner has an international reputation as a “go to” trial law firm in multifaceted business litigation, intellectual property, life-altering personal injury cases, product safety lawsuits and other areas of the law.
