Trial Lawyer Richard Sayles of Dallas' Sayles Werbner To Speak about Patent Trials at National IP Conference

HOUSTON – Noted trial lawyer Richard A. “Dick” Sayles of the Dallas-based trial firm of Sayles Werbner, PC, will be among the faculty members delivering presentations during the upcoming American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) spring meeting in Houston on May 14, 2008.

Mr. Sayles, who regularly handles intellectual property matters for leading technology companies and other businesses, will be part of a panel presentation titled “The Fact and Fiction of Litigating Patent Cases in the Eastern District of Texas.”

“The Eastern District of Texas is home to fast-paced courts where you have to know the lay of the land to be effective,” says Mr. Sayles.  “I’m honored to share my experiences with other AIPLA members.”

Mr. Sayles has tried more than 100 jury trials in three decades of trial practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in significant courtroom litigation. His trial background includes broad experience in both state and federal courts handling cases involving intellectual property issues, patent law claims, commercial disputes, defense of and claims against corporate directors and officers, securities law claims and product liability claims, among many others.

A frequent lecturer at local and national seminars, Mr. Sayles is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
