Sayles Werbner Dallas Attorneys Earn Chambers USA Litigation Rankings
DALLAS – Accomplished trial attorneys Richard “Dick” Sayles and Mark Werbner of Dallas’ Sayles Werbner are being recognized among the state’s top courtroom litigators in the 2015 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
Sayles earns high praise in the publication for “his handling of matters such as product liability, patent law and complex commercial disputes.” The exclusive guide describes Werbner as a “well-regarded trial lawyer handling a range of sophisticated commercial litigation, white-collar crime and wrongful death matters.”
London-based Chambers and Partners relies on in-depth research and objective, independent interviews with thousands of attorneys and clients to develop the annual rankings. Attorneys from U.S. and international law firms and in-house counsel at some of the world’s top corporations depend on the exclusive listing to identify the top attorneys in various practice areas for referrals and hiring.
Sayles, Werbner and other firm attorneys recently won a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in one of the most significant patent infringement claims to reach the nation’s highest court in years. The case involves a $74 million judgment the firm previously won for Texas-based Commil USA LLC after jurors determined that software giant Cisco Systems Inc. had infringed a Commil patent. The firm earned the Supreme Court win in May after presenting oral arguments earlier this year.
Sayles Werbner currently represents a group of terrorism victims seeking financial damages against Arab Bank for providing material support to terrorists who conducted attacks on U.S. citizens abroad. The firm’s 2014 win in the initial liability trial was upheld earlier this year in New York federal court. The case included evidence that Arab Bank helped provide cash payments to the families of suicide bombers.
In addition to their Chambers USA rankings, Sayles and Werbner have earned extensive professional honors during their legal careers, including recognition in such publications as The National Law Journal, Texas Lawyer, Texas Monthly, D Magazine, Texas Super Lawyers, and many others.
Sayles Werbner maintains an international reputation as a proven trial law firm in complex business litigation, intellectual property matters, life-altering personal injury cases, product safety claims and practically every type of case that requires courtroom expertise.
