Dick Sayles, Mark Werbner Recognized as Benchmark Top Litigators
DALLAS – The national legal guide Benchmark Litigation has recognized Sayles Werbner co-founders Richard A. “Dick” Sayles and Mark S. Werbner in its 2019 edition, an honor both attorneys have earned every year since 2013.
Benchmark named both lawyers among its Local Litigation Stars. Recognition is based on an extensive interview process with trial lawyers and their clients. Further examination of an attorney’s casework and feedback from peers completes the review process.
Sayles and Werbner are widely respected nationally, known for their courtroom successes in high-profile cases. Benchmark highlighted Sayles’ case work in commercial, energy and natural resources as well as in insurance litigation.
Werbner’s groundbreaking 2014 jury verdict win against a foreign bank for its role in terrorism financing drew international attention and has been the subject of continuing legal study.
With a list of career accomplishments that includes significant defense wins, 150 cases tried to verdict, and more than a dozen multimillion-dollar jury verdicts, Sayles represents clients involved in prominent commercial litigation, personal injury and patent litigation matters. In recognition of his case work, he was selected the Dallas Bar Association’s 2018 Trial Lawyer of the Year.
Honored by Super Lawyers annually since 2003, the firm co-founders were selected to the 2018 list of Top 100 attorneys in Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area for their business litigation expertise. In addition, Werbner was recognized among the Top 10 attorneys in the state regardless of practice focus.
The Best Lawyers in America included the duo in its 2019 edition in commercial and bet-the-company litigation. Werbner earned additional recognition for his white-collar criminal defense work. Chambers USA has recognized the name shareholders as top commercial litigators.
Sayles Werbner maintains an international reputation as a proven trial law firm in complex business litigation, life-altering personal injury cases, and practically every type of case that requires courtroom expertise.
