Dallas Attorney Mark Werbner Recognized Among Nation’s Top Litigators
Only 21 attorneys in history twice selected to prestigious list
DALLAS – For the second time, Mark Werbner, co-founder of the Dallas law firm Sayles Werbner, has been recognized as one of the top litigators in the country in The National Law Journal’s prestigious “Winning” special section.
Mr. Werbner is one of only 10 attorneys in the nation selected to the
2007 list, which was compiled by NLJ editors based on their research
and nominations from around the country. The criteria for nomination
included a track record of significant wins during the last several
years, and at least one significant trial win in the past 18 months.
"I love being a trial lawyer and helping people and businesses when
they have serious problems," says Mr. Werbner. "To be selected among
only ten attorneys in the country is incredibly humbling, and I'm
honored to be included."
Mr. Werbner also was profiled in the “Winning” section in 2001 based on
his work in a case that resulted in the largest jury verdict in Dallas
County history. As noted in the NLJ, Mr. Werbner prevailed in that case
even though he had only weeks to prepare for trial. Since the “Winning”
list was first published in 1985, only 21 attorneys have been selected
to the list twice.
Fellow lawyers included in previous "Winning" lists include Melvin
Belli, David Boies, Johnnie Cochran Jr., Richard "Racehorse" Haynes,
Rusty Hardin, Joe Jamail, Mark Lanier, Dan Webb and Edward Bennett
Williams, among others.
In the publication, NLJ editor Steve Fromm notes Mr. Werbner's
successful defense last year of an international businessman who was
sued by his brother in a contentious family dispute over proceeds from
the sale of a $4 billion company.
Mr. Werbner routinely is recognized among of the nation's top trial
lawyers. He previously has been honored as one of the top business
defense attorneys in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal, and
named a "Go-To Lawyer" in Plaintiffs' Civil litigation by Texas Lawyer
newspaper. Additionally, he has been named one of the Top 10 attorneys
in Texas in Texas Super Lawyers and Texas Monthly magazines, and one of
the Best Lawyers in Dallas in D Magazine.
Sayles Werbner has an international reputation as a “go to” trial law firm in multifaceted business litigation, intellectual property, life-altering personal injury cases, product safety lawsuits and other areas of the law. More information about the firm can be found at http://www.swtriallaw.com/.
